Uechi-Ryu Ranks

Uechi-Ryu karate employs a rank system for various levels of achievement, both for those below (and progressing toward) black belt, and for those who have achieved the black belt rank and are progressing toward the higher black belt degrees. The ranks below black belt are called "Kyu" ranks, pronounced "q". Black belt ranks are called "Dan" ranks, pronounced "don". Below are the Kyu ranks (ranks below black belt), and the Dan ranks (black belt ranks).
